About Josh
As told by Cecilia
I first met Josh, or Yush as I like to call him, at the now defunct Brews Brothers, where he invited me to join him in eating his favorite meal, chicken wings and beer. Over our casual dinner, I learned about his childhood, growing up in Irvington, New York. He enjoyed the summers swimming in his pool, (except for the year he got run over while riding his bike and spent the summer in a cast, sadly looking out the window) or at Summer Camp with his sister Julie and cousins - Jessica and Melissa.
In high school, he spent several summers hiking and camping in Wyoming, with his dad Daniel, where no doubt, he discovered his love for the outdoors. He attended Georgia Tech according to him because "it was the best engineering school I got into.." and advised incorrectly from a high school guidance counselor, he majored in Mechanical Engineering. (What he really wanted to study was Industrial Design). Nevertheless, he enjoyed studying abroad in Australia and New Zealand, and the new friends he met, and graduated with a Business Degree. After college, he spent a month in Ecuador by himself, climbing Cotopaxi and enjoying the beach, before he joined Daniel and his Business Parter, Michael's real estate company, where he now sources new acquisitions and manages the day to day leasing and management issues of their Georgia assets.
Josh likes vintage cars, spicy food, and drawing. He likes to stay active, whether it's skiing, mountain biking, or practicing Yoga with his Mom, Marjorie. Yush's personality, smile, even-keel manner (except when he's hangry = hungry + angry), and great head of hair are what really attracted me to him. He has a great sense of style without being overly concerned and a great design aesthetic. He's genuine, a great decision maker, generous, thoughtful, and loving. Especially when he kisses Paco on the head, when he thinks I'm not looking. . . I'm so lucky to be able to call him my best friend, future-husband, and partner in life.

As told by Paco
I iz PaÇo. Cheche and Yush has been draggon me every place 4 too long. They mayk me wok in sno and rane and when iz too hot out. Butt eye woodnt trade them 4 the wurld. I luv them and they luv me!
I travel a long way 2 find my Cheche. I start in North Korea where I was the foot rest for the supreme leader. I escaped to China during one of our beach vacations. In China I snuck into a cargo container headed to Mexico. In Mexico I met many Chihuahuas, they r very annoying. I then walked to Amerika across the border, it was very easy, no one watching. In Missourri I pretend to be part of a Pug litter, they send all of us to Brooklyn where I have my first pizza crust! so yummy! In Cobble Hill puppy store I wait until Cheche comes and takes me home. That was the best day of my life. 🐾
How We Met
As told by Josh and Cecilia
We were introduced by our mutual friend Tony Esmurria. Tony attended Pace University with Cecilia and worked with Josh at Bank of New York. In 2010, Cecilia had just moved to the Upper East Side from Brooklyn, and one night met up with Tony and her best friend Jessica Wico for a drink. Tony mentioned how he knew a friend, Josh, who also lived on the Upper East Side and suggested Cecilia contact him. Josh suggested Cecilia meet up with him and his friend Garett Wenig, for the beer and chicken wings happy hour at the now defunct Brews Brothers. This first "date" happened the Wednesday after Memorial Day Weekend. Is it only a matter of happenstance that we would be getting married that weekend, six years later?!
For four years Cecilia and Josh have lived together in the West Village of Manhattan, where they enjoy their rare outdoor space and cozy neighborhood.

About Cecilia
As told by Josh
Cecilia Marie Zuniga, the daughter of Eileen and Enrique Zuniga, has the wanderlust and carefree outllook on life of someone who spent their youth dipping their toes in a lake behind their house. That house was in Sparta, an idyllic town in northern New Jersey where she grew up in an architect's home (her father), listening to classic jazz singers and exploring her own voice, artistic talents and surrounding herself with loving family and friends.
Cecilia left Sparta to attend Pace University in downtown Manhattan. There she pursued music production and business studies. Cecilia kept a close group of friends who would explore the city, spend a semester in Florence and summer in Spain. It was during her time at Pace when she started working for a Brooklyn real estate developer where she formed the basis of her future career.
Let's skip ahead, past her apartments in Brooklyn and Washington Heights, to when she moved to a cute little studio on the Upper East Side, half a block from Gracie Mansion and Carl Shurz Park. It was here in Yorkville where our relationship developed during endless walks between her apartment, the park and my apartment, all with Paco in tow.
Hours and hours we spent on the weekends alternating between her little studio and Garett and my man cave. We enjoyed trying all of the diverse restaurants, from French and Greek to Italian, Argentinian and Mexican, and everything in between.
When I met Cecilia she was already working for the Durst Organization, in property management in the basement of one of their office buildings. Her talents and motivation were recognized soon after starting her Masters in Real Estate at the Schack School of Real Estate at New York University. She has since completed her masters degree and ascended to the 49th floor of One Bryant Park where she is an integral part of their real estate acquisitions.
